What time does the market operate?

10am–5pm

What time can stallholders set up?

Stallholders will be instructed by onsite Security once it is safe to enter the market area to set up.

This will be from approx. 7:30am on the day – full setup details will be emailed the week before the event.

How much are the site fees?

Standard 3m x 3m site hire is $145.00

Double 3m x 6m site hire is $290.00

Triple 3m x 9m site hire is $435

Limited corner sites available – 3m x 3m $185 – 3m x 6m $370 – 3m x 9m $555

Food Vans $400

Pop-up bars – price on application

Other site hire sizes may be negotiated with the Event Management.

Do the sites have power?

None of our standard sites have power. If you need power, you will need to contact us to discuss it.

Do I need insurance?

Public liability insurance is compulsory. A copy of your current Public Liability insurance certificate must be provided before the event.

Do I need my own marquee?

Marquees are compulsory at the Semaphore Street Fair. You can hire marquees as part of your application or provide your own.

Can I hire equipment?

Please see below a list of equipment which may be hired as part of your application:

  • Marquee 3m x 3m – $130
  • Marquee 3m x 6m – $260
  • Marquee 3m x 9m – $390
  • Trestle Tables – $30
  • Plastic chairs – $8

Do I require EFTPOS facilities?

EFTPOS facilities are not compulsory but are a great idea.

How much are the hire fees for food vans?

The cost for a food van is $4000.00.  Food Business Notification documentation is required – limited sites are available.

How much are the site fees for a Pop-Up Bar?

Costs for Pop Up Bars vary according to size – limited sites are available. You will need to apply for your own Liquor Licence before the event and provide us with a copy.

What happens in extreme weather?

The Semaphore Street Fair is not a covered market and will operate in all weather conditions including wet and windy weather. It is the responsibility of stallholders to bring their own covers and protection in adverse weather conditions. The market will NOT be cancelled in the event of extreme weather. No refunds are issued to any stallholder who does not attend based on weather conditions. Please do not apply for a site unless you understand and are prepared to take this risk.
